Wednesday is one of my nights off, so I planned on getting in a nice long WoW playing session. The first thing I wanted to finish was my Leatherworking. I was stuck at 373, and I had no Orange items to guarantee a skill up. To make a long and boring story short, I drop 500g in mats and make 7 items to get TWO skill points. Grrrrrrr.I guess I used up my good LW karma when a friend of mine gave me this Pattern: Boots of Natural Grace. He had purchased it for himself, but then decided to leave the game. I was the only Druid Leatherworker he knew from our old raiding days, so he hooked me up. I guess things balance out in the end. I spent more than I thought I should have to get to 375 LW, but I didn't have to drop gold on the pattern. I guess I can live with that.
I do have some problems with the current crafting system. There needs to be more simple items that people will actually buy. I look at Jewelcrafting and green gems. You won't get rich selling cut green gems, but you can offset much of you leveling costs. Why can't LWers have special rare skins that can be turned into different armor kits? I'm not asking for anything fancy, but people would drop a few gold to add +5 agi or +8 spell damage to a leg item.
I ran my first couple Heroic instances last night as well. I did Underbog and Slave Pens with a couple old friends from my old raiding guild (I seem to be running into more and more people from back in the day). I got my first taste of Heroic action, and I did very well. I still have room for improvement because I was grouped with epic'd out players, so I had some control issues. Usually the first 10 seconds of a pull were a down and dirty fight to hold aggro on everything. I got better as the night went on, but I'm glad I know what to expect from Heroic runs in the future.
The issues I had were minor. We didn't wipe once, and only had a few deaths in two instance runs. The loot was fairly crappy, except for the epic items. The Eye of the Stalker and the Midnight Legguards dropped off the end bosses, and I got them both! Like I said, I was running with some guys with Kara or PVP epics, so I was the one that could use the items as upgrades. They were more than happy to let me have the items, and I passed on the Nethers out of respect to them. Well all got seven badges, and called it a night.
I dropped even more gold on some good gems for my new pants, but I plan on farming the mats for a Cobrahide Leg Armor. I wasted lots of gold, but I can't complain after picking up three epic items in a single night. Now I need to finish the rep grind for all the other Heroic keys, and work towards getting more daily quests.

Gratz on the Epics. You will find that most heroics aren't much different than their non-heroic counter parts. Most of the trash just hits harder and most boss are the same. If you are interested in farming badges for purchasing epics/nethers, heroic Mech is the quickest for a 3 badge run, cause each of the two mini bosses give badges. We would usually start that night with a 3 badge run and then we would hit up the heroic we were after loot in or a new one we hadn't tackled yet.

Congratz on your nice drops!
I just achieved my heroic coilfang key also, my first heroic key, and I am about to make my first run this week (I hope). I will be very interested to hear more about your exploits.
grats!
Hi -
Wondering what mod your using that gives the stat info at the bottom of the weapons pics (mitigation and such) - thankx
I was wondering what the hit cap was for a raiding feral druid in cat form.
any light you can shine on this would be helpful.
Congrates on your epic.
If you need more gold, try Luke Brown's Gold Guide. I used it and brought in almost 500 gold in a single day.
★★★I know how to get wow gold without farming. Click my name above and get the (my web page). lol~
